Who is going to see Chris race this season, and what race are you going to visit?

I'm going to see my first WSBK race in Assen (NL) on April 25th. I'm really looking forward to it. I guess some of you will be going to Phillip Island?

Hi Bas,
yep, we'll be there for the first race of the year to kick off the encouragement. At least the time of year is a bit kinder to riders & spectators- no frostbite, just the possibility of sunburn- that's why i won't retire the blue floppy hat. The rest of the season will see us here in Aus staying up with the heater on to keep a check on Chris.

Hi margie,
It would be so nice to have summer right now. It's approx. -6 degrees Celsius here at the moment :(
Because the dutch race is in april (early spring) it's kind of hard to predict what the weather is going to be like. The last couple of years we had a lot of nice warm (20+ C) temperatures but there's also a possibility of cold weather and a lot of rain. I'm hoping for the warm weather :)

Now Bas,
I'm sure you've watched races at Phillip Island on TV & seen how fickle the weather can be.
I do recall the Saturday of one year being hot & getting burnt & the day of the race it belted down with rain- wet through to your undies- & then the sun came out for the race & it was like nothing had happened.
However, glad we don't get the winters you do in the northern hemisphere, particularly this one.

Sargent, hope you're feeling better & get to some races this year. I'm looking forward to seeing how Spies goes in GP.

Thanx Margie, but i'm all better now. I'll get to the indy race for sure but still don't know about SLC. In 2008 the Indy Moto GP had some messed up weather! Saturday and Friday I got burnt to a crisp, and then on Sunday, me and my sister were soaked to the bone because it never stopped raining until the race was over and canceled. Rossi won that year. This past year was wonderful. 80 F. every day and a small breeze. It was perfect! -Sargent

I'll be taking the troops (family) up to Assen. Let's hope they've some green merchandise to outfit the kids in.

We normally catch another 1 or 2 Supers races throughout the season so who knows when and where we'll be jumping on Chris.

...now to get him off that Specialized and onto a real bicycle

Just ordered my tickets for Assen! I can't wait for the season to start and can't wait for April 25th ;)
I hope the weather will have improved a lot by then.
