Yeah, its the official photo from Suzuka test. Hope the wind shield stays like it is on the concept, I really liked that. Reckon the back end needs some sexyin up too.
Fingers crossed it tests well.

New ZX10 R is promising, it sounds like conventional I-4, Big Bang(patent type) would sound different with I-2(180 degree) pitch.

And some more at: http://www.zx-10r.net/forum/showthread.php?t=90626On one of the last photo's you can see the new linksystem for the rear suspension and what looks like a horizontally mounted rearshock.

What I see is a very wide crank, combine ABS brakes different location of the rear suspension, big piston forks. Probably under seat tank (at least for the SBK version), gearbox in the middle of the engine block for mass concentration and engine tilt forward. Sounds like uneven firing (Japanese tweeter). I tested BMW S1000RR it is very good when is not faulty, but I don’t really trust German quality control. They have so many recalls on everything they produce, cars or motorbikes!

This is the WSBK version of the new ZX-10R so we still know nothing about the suspension, brakes and electronics (ABS/TC) that will go onto the street version. But like you said, the clutch is up high in the frame and that makes me think the engine has been tilted forward. Unfortunately this can not be seen because of al the carbonfiber bodywork.
But the engine doesn't sound like the bigbang engine that everybody has been talking about. So I think it will be a regular inline 4 cylinder screamer engine. But it's hard to tell because the sound clip was recorded with a very cheap camera with poor audio qualities. Also the bike was sitting inside the pitbox and this makes the sound resonate.

The next race in the Japanese Superbike series is on the 29th of August. Something to keep an eye on?

I don't think they'll be using this bike for racing any time soon. This was just a first test, the real development has just started. I think we will see this bike (or a improved version) in a couple more tests this year, probably with Chris and Tom riding it. And next year it will be used for racing.
Also for Superbike racing you need to have produced a certain number of roadbikes before you can enter a new model in the championship.

A race bike with combine brakes and ABS sensors?? No BAS this is not a race bike, this is a test mule for fine tuning different parts and electronics. Race bikes are not just with carbon body parts and quick shifters like the one we see in the pictures. This is why I didn’t comment anything on the looks of the bike because probably it will change.

WSBK racebikes do have ABS, or at least wheelspeed sensors for the TC! The current ZX-10R racebike has them too!
And this testbike also has the very expensive Brembo superbike monobloc calipers en Showa WSBK spec frontforks (pretty much the same forks as the current WSBK racer). We will never see these parts on the street version. It will, most likely, get Nissin or Tokico calipers and a Showa BPF frontfork like the GSX-R1000. Maybe the brakes will be monobloc's but not the ones you see here. The same goes for the Brembo brakerotors.

The engine on the new ZX-10R is not tilted forward. You can clearly see one of the exhaustpipes going up in front of the engine in this picture: http://www.kawasaki-challenge.com/images/wallpaper/Next_Ninja_1280_02.jpgSo it will probably be a conventional inline 4 engine.

According to the next Ninja twitterpage: Quote: When designing the Next Ninja's engine, the highest power of any Ninja to date was pursued.

I don't think so! They are starting the European tests now, so the bike will be developed for next year. Before they can race it they need to produce a certain number of streetbikes because it's a production series.
